iPhone Photography Awards 2014

Arts & Events - by Open Journal

The 7th annual iPhone photography awards were announced in New York earlier this month and just as the images captured by Jeff Provan on our own Instagram account are evidence of the strength of the smart phone as a tool for capturing magnificent images, the images here really do serve fuel and inspiration for the smart phone wielding snappers out there…

Held annually since 2007, the awards attract thousands of entries from across the globe in seventeen categories; Animals, Architecture, Children, Flowers, Food, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, News/Events, Others, People, Seasons, Still Life, Sunset, Travel and Trees.

Winners this year come from all continents, with amatuer photographers in Romainia, Canada, Isreal, Ireland, Mexico and South Africa among the winning entries.

More information on the photographers and a full gallery of all winning entries can be found at the awards website. Below are a selection of our favourites… Enjoy!
